Peter Biram is an Australian artist whose practice spans more than four decades, combining painting, education and environmental advocacy. After completing a Diploma of Visual Arts in 1979, he continued his studies throughout his career, culminating in a Master of Creative Industries in 2019. Working as a full-time artist since 2012, Peter’s contemporary practice explores themes of land ownership, land use and the delicate balance between people and the natural environment. In 2003, he founded the Environmental Expressionism movement, bringing together artists committed to raising awareness of environmental issues through creative practice.
