Celebrating the Seekers – 60 Years
Fri 11 September, 11:00am
Join Keith Potger in Celebrating The Seekers – 60 Years Show, a solo concert celebrating the group he helped to form.
Keith Potger, one of the original members who helped form the group in 1962, will take you through the songs, stories, and influences that shaped their rise to international fame. Experience the upbeat and heartwarming sound of Keith’s 12-string guitar as you’re transported back in time to relive the best memories of The Seekers.
This special show contains some timeless favourites from The Seekers, some beautiful original ballads from his three solo CDs and a few hits from the ‘60s to the ‘80s that influenced the group and appeal to the generation who grew up playing The Seeker albums at home or in the car.
Throughout his show, Keith shares stories and amusing anecdotes from almost 60 years on the international music scene, featuring rare footage and still photos, with a special tribute to the late and great Judith Durham.
“Celebrating The Seekers was an absolute masterclass in showmanship and a consummate performer’s masterpiece. He got the crowd singing and laughing along to his songs and stories – including one song to the tune of Botany Bay called Obesity Waltz…”
